Looking for a healthier dessert to cool you down and satisfy your sweet tooth? On your next trip to the supermarket, pick up any of these 8 treats from the frozen aisle… many are less than 100 calories.

When it comes to dessert, I like to keep it simple. Occasionally I will bake a dessert from scratch, but most of the time I just pick something up at the supermarket. As long as I stick to buying healthier products made with minimal, real ingredients, and we keep portion sizes small, I can feel good about offering my family a sweet treat every day!
When it’s hot outside (which is most of the time in Florida!), we start to crave cool, icy, refreshing desserts! Ice cream or Frozen Yogurt is okay, but I really enjoy the assortment of frozen bars and ice pops that are pre-portioned for a perfect serving size.
Below are some healthier options for quality frozen desserts/treats that you’ll find in the frozen aisle of your local supermarket. I’ve also featured a healthier frozen favorite from Costco and Trader Joe’s.
At the bottom of the page, I’ve included a bonus treat that doesn’t make the list. It’s not healthy, but it is a classic and one that we enjoy at least once every summer!

Supermarket Frozen Treats
1. Yasso Greek Yogurt Bars

The Yasso Greek Yogurt bar has to be at #1 because it is my go-to treat all year long! With 18 different flavors to choose from, like Black Raspberry Chip (favorite), Chocolate Hazelnut, Mint Chocolate Chip, and Strawberry, you will never get bored. Since these bars are made with a creamy base of Greek Yogurt, they have more protein and fewer calories than most other ice cream treats.
Each bar contains about 90 calories, 1.5 g fat, 5 mg cholesterol, 40 mg sodium, 15 g total carbs, 13 g total sugars (including 7 g added sugar), and 5 g protein.
Yasso Greek Yogurt Bars, 4 bars: $5.09 at Publix (that’s $1.27 per bar)
2. Yasso Dipped Greek Yogurt Bars

Duh… cover my favorite frozen treat in dark chocolate and of course I’m going to love it! There are currently 4 indulgent flavors to choose from… Mint Chocolate, Peanut Butter, Salted Caramel, and Vanilla. I like to stock up when my store puts them on a BOGO sale.
Each bar contains 150 calories, 7 g total fat (including 6 g saturated fat), 5 mg cholesterol, 25 mg sodium, 17 g total carbs, 1 g fiber, 14 g total sugars (including 11 g added sugar), and 4 g protein.
Yasso Dipped Greek Yogurt Bars, 4 bars: $5.79 at Publix (that’s $1.45 per bar)
3. Tillamook Chocolate Mudslide Ice Cream Sandwiches

Who doesn’t love a classic ice cream sandwich! It’s always been a favorite since childhood. Tillamook has taken it to the next level! The inside of two waffle-inspired cookies is dipped in chocolate with ice cream sandwiched in-between. Totally worth the calories… as an occasional treat! There are currently 6 different flavors to choose from, but I’ve only seen a couple at my store. As a company, I like that Tillamook is farmer-owned and committed to quality.
Each sandwich contains 210 calories, 10 g total fat (including 7 g saturated fat), 20 mg cholesterol, 100 mg sodium, 29 g total carbs, 1 g fiber, 21 g total sugars (including 20 g added sugar), and 3 g protein.
Tillamook Chocolate Mudslide Ice Cream Sandwiches, 4 sandwiches: $4.99 at Publix (that’s $1.25 per sandwich)
4. Chloe’s Pops

Sometimes you just want something cold, refreshing, and non-dairy. That’s where ice pops come in! But, beware of popsicles with artificial flavors, filler, and excessive sugar. Chloe’s brand has just 3 simple ingredients: fruit, water, and cane sugar… that’s it! The Dark Chocolate Pops are made with banana and cocoa… yum!
Chloe’s Pops aren’t just little stick pops… they’re full size, satisfying pops! If you can find them all, there are currently 8 different flavors.
Each ice pop contains only 60 calories, 0 g fat, 0 g sodium, 15 g total carbs, 1 g fiber, 13 g total sugars (including 12 g added sugar), 0 g protein (strawberry), and 1 g protein (chocolate).
Chloe’s Ice Pops, 4 pops: $3.99 at Publix (that’s about $1.00 per pop)
5. Outshine Fruit Pops

Definitely a few more ingredients than Chloe’s Pops, but Outshine Fruit Pops are still a better choice than most other popsicles. Outshine uses real fruit and fruit juice and skips all the junk. These refreshing fruit bars especially hit the spot after I’ve been outside in the heat doing yard work. There are lots of flavors to choose from, including the full-size Fruit Bars, which are still only about 60 – 70 calories each.
Each popsicle contains only 45 calories, 0 g fat, 0 mg cholesterol, 0 mg sodium, 11 g total carbs, 10 g total sugars (including 9 g added sugar), and 0 g protein.
Outshine Fruit Pops, 12 pops: $4.86 at Publix (that’s $0.40 per bar)
6. So Delicious Dairy-Free Vanilla Bean Coconut Milk Sandwiches

If you’re dairy-free or vegan, this is the frozen treat for you! As I said earlier, ice cream sandwiches are a favorite, but you won’t miss the ice cream here. I love the subtle coconut flavor from the Coconut Milk.
As I am a bit lactose-intolerant, I often prefer non-dairy products. So Delicious offers several varieties of frozen treats using cashew milk, oat milk, almond milk, soy milk, and coconut milk. A bit more pricey, but worth it to meet your dietary needs.
Each sandwich contains 100 calories, 4 g total fat (including 3.5 g saturated fat), 0 mg cholesterol, 30 mg sodium, 14 g total carbs, 7 g total sugars (including 7 g added sugar), and 1 g protein.
So Delicious Dairy Free Vanilla Bean Coconut Milk Sandwiches, 8 sandwiches: $6.49 at Publix (that’s $0.81 per sandwich)

7. Sambazon Organic Superfruit Acai Bites

Another dairy-free and vegan treat to enjoy! These portion-controlled Bites from Sambazon are also organic, non-gmo, fair trade, and delicious! Acai Berry Sorbet is dipped in rich, dark chocolate and has just the right amount of sweetness. One is very satisfying, but if you must have two, it’s still only 100 calories!
Each bite contains 50 calories, 2.5 g total fat (including 2 g saturated fat), 0 mg cholesterol, 0 mg sodium, 8 g total carbs, 4 g total sugars (including 4 g added sugar), and 0 g protein.
Sambazon Organic Superfruit Acai Bites, 24 bites: $12.99 at Costco (that’s $0.54 per bite)
Best Trader Joe’s Frozen Treat
8. Trader Joe’s Hold The Cone Mini Ice Cream Cones

These Mini Cones are a cult favorite for Trader Joe’s shoppers. I never leave the store without picking up a box! Chocolate and Vanilla are standard, but throughout the year TJ’s also offers Pumpkin Ginger, Peppermint, and now Chocolate Chip. They are all awesome! The box states that a serving is 3 mini cones, but I’m always satisfied with just one. It’s the perfect after-dinner treat!
If you stick to just one cone, each contains 86 calories, 4 g fat (including 2.6 g saturated fat), 9 mg cholesterol, 19 mg sodium, 11 g total carbs, 6 g total sugars, and 1 g protein
Trader Joe’s Hold The Cone Mini Ice Cream Cones, 8 cones: $2.99 at Trader Joe’s (that’s $0.37 per cone)

Good Humor Frozen Strawberry Shortcake Dessert Bars

Although this ice cream treat does not make the list of “healthier” quality choices, I still had to include it because it’s a favorite! Unfortunately, the ingredients used to make this classic dessert are not all that great. The bars are filled with stuff I normally avoid like artificial flavors, colors, and more.
I usually pick up one box every summer, share it with my family, and then go back to enjoying the healthier treats above. I don’t know if it’s the nostalgia, but I do love the cake crunchies on the outside and the vanilla ice cream wrapped around the strawberry-flavored center. At least the calories aren’t too bad!
Each bar contains 160 calories, 9 g total fat (including 3.5 g saturated fat), 0 mg cholesterol, 60 mg sodium, 19 g total carbs, 11 g total sugars (including 9 g added sugar), and 1 g protein
Good Humor Frozen Strawberry Shortcake Dessert Bar, 6 bars: $4.39 at Publix (that’s $0.73 per bar)
